Meet Amanda
When people ask me what I do for a living, I don’t hit them with my long list of baby care credentials. I tell them this:
I help families get through tricky times with tiny humans so all of them can thrive.
If they want the full story, I explain that I’ve worked in the field of early childhood education and baby care, midwifery and sleep sciences for over 20 years. And that as a qualified midwife, board certified lactation consultant with additional certification in paediatric sleep science and maternity care, parents have a great deal of confidence in my expertise.
I’ve devoted my life to learning the science, psychology and physiology of baby sleep so that I can teach parents ways foster happy, healthy children. My methods are based on a loving approach that’s backed by science and the testament of the hundreds of happy and well-rested families I’ve worked with.

Get to know me
I’ve always enjoyed great rapport with infants and small children. And for as long as I can remember, I’ve had a special knack for interpreting their needs. Feeling this gift could become a career, I studied for qualifications in a range of child health and development areas knowing that evidence-based insight was critical to delivering the best possible care.
I was a professional nanny for 10 years before specialising with infants as a maternity nurse. From there I studied to became a qualified midwife, moving into paediatric sleep science, followed by lactation consultancy.
I’ve worked all over the world for all types of families including a number of Australian VIPs, and ran the online baby care hub Nest Care to help Melbourne families access the baby and child care support they need.
According to Myers-Briggs, I’m both analyst (INFJ) and diplomat (INTJ) which perhaps is why I’m such a good fit for my job. I can easily walk in other people’s shoes, recognise their problems and find solutions to make everyone feel better!
When I’m not working around the clock (literally), you’ll find me baking, hiking or on the Pilates reformer. I love beach holidays and spending time with my partner Scott and our chocolate Labrador, Harrison.
